We’re breaking freeeeeee!
High School Musical is everywhere these days, even more so than usual, and it’s been a while since we reiterated how cool and up-to-the-minute we are with the hot teen trends. The DVD has been destroying everything in its path. The girl — Gabrielle? I’ve watched this thing twice and I can’t seem to make these names stick — just signed a record deal. What can’t this show do?
Next week predictions: Sharpay stars opposite Ben Affleck in a remake of The Seven Year Itch. That guy from Jersey Boys relinques his Tony Award to Troy. Ryan gets elected to Congress and spearheads a campaign to legalize gay marriage. Etc. (In truth, they are all still starring in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, which I suppose I will now TiFaux to keep up my “street cred” with the “kids,” and to simultaneously lose all my “street cred” with “adults.”)

we are SO “cool and up-to-the-minute”! because to think we’re slightly devlopmentally delayed for loving all things aimed at tweens is a dangerous path. not as dangerous as crossing sharpay, but dangerous none the less.

umm hi..
i dont understand why everyone loves this movie..
truthfully..i hated it..
they work you up the whole entie movie for a big play…and you never see it..
this movie shouldn’t have ever made it as far as it did..
this is simply my opion though..
i know its not your fault but i just wanted someone to know where (and why) i stood on the liking of this film..

Hi i just wanted to say that zac and the girl sing really well. someone told me that zac does not sing the whole songs because he couldn’t reach some notes and so there was someone else singing some parts of the songs. question: are tey going to release a second HSM?

Personally, I despised HSM. I felt it was a mockery of all serious musicals, that it was the sterotypical popular-boy-meets-girl plot that has been done a thousand times before, and that all the characters were too perfect for their own good (as was their singing- the main guy’s voice is mixed with that of a 7-year-old chorus boy, by the way)
But, boy, are those songs catchy. Annoyingly catchy.
